Henrock debuts his first music video after signing with Cash Grab Entertainment

Henrey Favers, Henrock, is the new kid on the block residing from York, Pennsylvania. From performing on main stages all over the East Coast with acts like Lil’ Baby, Kevin Gates, Yo Gotti, and NBA Youngboy, just to name a few, he now brings musical visuals to your computer and phone screen. “Money on Me” is his first video released under his newly signed recording contract with Cash Grab Entertainment.  
The creative mind behind the “Money On Me” video is Kayso, who also resides from the 717 area. The graphic effects in the video are just a taste of what you will see in the future from both Kayso and Henrock.

Sess 4-5 and Dyor Young Chris link together to flip some work, stay 3 steps ahead of the game and stuff bags with bills on "Money Up"




Right out of the gate, the hook sets the tone for the entire track with it's catchy, repetitive structure. While Sess 4-5 speaks on stacking up dividends and the interior workings within the dope game, Dyor Young Chris goes into gripping details on his strong trap mentality and superior kitchen techniques.

Both rappers however have taken it upon themselves to put there respected blocks on their backs, giving the streets a heavy hustler anthem to serve and bag up to. "Money Up" was produced by BlaqNMild, one of the lead producers pumping out melodic instrumentals for Nuthin But Fire Records, headed by Sess.

Sess 4-5 is a seasoned artist that has garnered high popularity in and around the New Orleans, Louisiana music scene. Next, he has worked with some of NOLA's most prominent rap acts of the nineties such as No Limit alum Mia X, Soulja Slim, Mr. Magic and Fiend. That alone should garner your attention as his music almost always carries remnants of the No Limit and Cash Money era.

With releases like "Money Up", it's already proven that Sess can cook up potent street singles. However, he also offers up a wide variety of material like the R&B vibes of "Breakfast in Bed" that carried features from 6 WAR POOK and Young Sino.

Indiana stand up. Heavyweights from both Gary and East Chicago have collided, and given us an explosive banger in result. They are D-Brown and 30 Boy Will; and “Sold Out” is their latest Hoosier State anthem. First, 30 Boy Will attacks the trap drum-heavy track, coasting its undulating 808s with hardbody bars and a guttural inflection. His timely flow slips easily into the chorus; which 30 Boy Will himself charges with a bounce of memorable rhymes. Then, it is D-Brown’s turn. Determined not to disappoint, the titanic emcee utterly wigs on the mic. Spitting at an almost rapid-fire pace, D-Brown offers myriad, street-hardened lines with his verse; making it lyrically evident that neither he, nor his partner, have “Sold Out”. In their cities they are the last of a dying breed. And with anthems like this club-ready single, they will continue to survive and thrive.

“Shorty in love with the Power!” repeats like a menacing mantra throughout the chorus of Von Marley’s 2018 drop, “Power...”. Chambered by reverberated echoes, a whirling melody, and thundering percussion, this bar builds every ounce of energy our Chicago emcee has to offer. When it explodes, a Windy City banger is the aftermath. For, this single is irresistibly infectious. In more ways than one, Marley has crafted the quintessential modern-trap record; entirely ready for the streets. Its booming beat and hypnotic hook make it a titan amongst this year’s heaviest releases. Yet, as much of a punch “Power...” packs with its production and chorus, the Nashville-residing rapper’s true potential shines through his lyricism and delivery. Endless, are his rhymes. For three minutes, Von Marley batters the microphone with bars; spitting them through the most famished inflection. Because, obviously, Von Marley is hungry for “Power...”; and so long as he continues turning out anthems such as this, he isn’t far from receiving it.

Out the gate, K.Ray proves he is leagues beyond his competition. He consolidates what could have been a brisk, three-song EP, into six minutes of seamless music; and uses the track to introduce an even larger body of work. Aberrant work that borders extra-terrestrial. That is “Life’s a mess”: thirty minutes of unconventional, yet gravitating rap from a Columbus, Georgia creative. On this nine track opus, it feels as though K.Ray is almost making a point of leaning away from Hip-Hop’s present direction. Yes, he raps, but the way he does so; the way he crafts his music is unlike anything you’ve heard thus far. Modern-trap production is dispersed into clouds of melody and liquid-like drums. Introspective rhymes abruptly ascend into autotuned harmonies and sampled chops. The album completely embodies its title. It is a mess that us listeners can’t even begin to clean. Yet, by the end of its runtime; by the end of this mind-opening body of work, you won’t want to, either way.

Evil keys, an explosive trap beat, and endless, Georgian flow are all kevystaysnappin needs to serve us a dynamic anthem. For, that is what “Gucci” packs; and by all accounts, it is anthemic. Tailored perfectly for the entire culture of Southern Hip-Hop, “Gucci” is a sharpshooter of a single. Although hectic, with its pulsating 808s and pounding trap snares, kevy’s performance gives the record magnitude and direction. You will easily be magnetized by his almost never-ending bars; which sway through an ATLien inflection, and various, lyrical references to other Southern hotspots. There are even a few moments wherein his adlibs are pitched through a muddy, Texan, chopped-n-skrewed filter; only increasing his homage to the South. Such is why “Gucci” is a track that every state below the Mason-Dixon can embrace. Don’t be surprised if you hear this record banging from the trunk of the car beside you; or lighting up the southerly house party you just walked in. kevystaysnappin definitely has a hit.

Just like that, it is here. After previously blessing us with their spectacular “Flux Capacitor” drop, Houston’s answer to The Wu-Tang Clan and early Pro Era, The Band of The Hawk, have finally released their “Kangol” project. Completely produced by original BOHUP member, Noah Archangel, and mostly upheld by Yeaux Majesty’s idiosyncratic rhymes, “Kangol” is this Texas collective’s 2019 endowment to the world of lo-fi, underground Hip-Hop. A world wherein they are slowly, but surely, becoming kings. The coronation occurs through a bevy of rap-heavy, boom-bap jams. Between sample-driven instrumentals, skits, and the lyrical ventures of featured BOHUP artists, Yeaux Majesty and Noah Archangel string together an impressively cohesive offering. Bangers, such as “Downtown Friday Nights”, “Bedrock”, “‘19 Mentality”, “Golden Child”, and “All U Need” flow seamlessly down this river of Golden Age musicality. If not for the apparent tracklist, “Kangol” could very much be presented as one, elongated piece of music; and that quality alone makes it superior to every other project released alongside it. In the space and history of lyrical, archaic, underground Hip-Hop, this project could very well become a classic. And The Band of The Hawk, the South’s answer to the legendary, old-school rap crews we hardly go a day without giving praise.

Inarguably, we have been blessed with a rich lineage of female, R&B talent. From the 90s/early 2000 smashes of the late, legend Aaliyah; to the eclectic slow jams of Janet Jackson, and celestial climb of Beyonce; every generation has had that songstress who completely captivates our hearts. Now, it seems the current generation will be blessed with their own. A Queen of Hearts, laying in the middle of the deck, just waiting to be shuffled to the top. That is Leanna Love; and if our words aren’t enough to convince you of her radiant potential, “Chillin” certainly will. Having flown from her nest in Chicago, to settle down in Arizona, this Midwestern songbird comes with her latest, modern-R&B bop, in aim to shake the game. A vibrant melody; contained by trap percussions and slamming 808s, creates a club-ready bed for “Chillin”. One on which Leanna’s mystical vocals can peacefully lay. The Chicago-born, Arizona-residing singer/songwriter utterly erupts across this record, writhing through harmonies and power vocals with peerless grace. A grace only comparable to the greats mentioned before; and that is precisely why “Chillin”, as well as any succeeding banger she plans to release, will soon have Leanna Love standing right beside them.

This is precisely what we have been waiting for. Since Summer Walker’s fiery onset in 2018, ignited by her chart-topping “Girls Need Love” record; the lot of us have waited with bated breaths for someone to offer a rendition. Their own take on the smoldering smash. Now, we may finally have it; lifted from the lungs of the young, North Carolina crooner, Abryon. With an awe-striking command over melody and harmony, this Southern singer aims to remind us that “Girls Need Love Too”. A sultry music video, and autotune-driven remix, are his main means of doing so. As he passes between various scenes with two particular women, the Tarheel vocalist unhinges a bit more of his amorous soul. He confides in them his desire to be anything and everything they could ask for; ultimately giving us everything we could ask for in a Summer Walker remix: pleas full of passion that’ll feel everlasting.

Despite Ashton Rich’s recent EP, “Sober Enough”, being one of the most thunderous, modern-trap projects of the season, he makes it explicitly clear from the opus’s opener that he does not condone the new wave. “Pretend”, the track in question, is a flagrant dissection of the trendy, stereotypical personas rappers embody today; matchlessly kicking off six-tracks of identically astounding energy. For, Ashton Rich maintains that audacity throughout the entire fifteen minutes that “Sober Enough” runs. Briskly, it is translated into records such as “Problems”, and the ascending anthem “Lemma Know”, which is already soaring with plays. Merging Hip-Hop and R&B alone may be difficult for some. However, on this EP, Ashton Rich makes it an effortless accomplishment. Like a pendulum, he swings between both genres; and as the momentum builds, so does the strength of his records. In many aspects, that is the perfect simile for Ashton Rich, and “Sober Enough” entirely: a pendulum, whose swung has built up enough momentum to be a wrecking ball; ready to smash right through the rap game.





If New Jersey did not have a lyrical prince ready to ascend to their Hip-Hop throne before, they do now. He goes by the name of J-Carter; and with every stroke of his pen this year, the Garden State emcee has proven well-ready for the crown. J-Carter deserves much praise for his grind and indomitable work-ethic on his latest body of work as he gets loaded up to drop 38 new tracks for his new album, “Take Hip-Hop Back”.  The beauty of “Take Hip-Hop Back” is that it perfectly encapsulates two generations; two sounds of the New Jersey lifestyle. On one plane, it embodies the lyrical aggression, depth and bravado of the Redmans, Joe Buddens, and Treachs who built upon the foundation for East Coast Hip-Hop. On the other hand, it warmly embraces the sonics of today: boasting 808s, malicious, synth-based melodies, and jarring trap drums. This puts the nine-track opus on the ideal axis of a 2019 Hip-Hop album. It is, essentially, an onslaught of lyrical bangers; that in J-Carter’s own words, “...the people will have no choice but to hear...”.

Daniel Cronson and Kehinde have given us something undeniably magical. Whilst embracing the power of Blues, Hip-Hop, and Jazz that flows through their luminous city of Chicago, they have conjured the mighty “Grand Visions”. The track is three and a half minutes of smooth, summery blues; guided by heartfelt, northside vocals and piercing, southside rhymes. Daniel works much of Grand Visions’s foundation; driving it with a few lovable chords from his guitar, backing keys, ambiance, and a slow-burning drum loop. The essence of John Mayer seems to possess much of his performance, as he glides soulfully across this production with “Continuum”-esque immaculacy. However, as brilliant as this single is with Daniel Cronson alone, it would be imperfect without Kehinde’s breathtaking bars. Lyrically, he reincarnates Daniel’s breakdown of the trials one faces in pursuing their dreams, by giving his own, in-depth take on the topic. What results is a magnetizing, new record for Chicago’s summer. One that will have you ready to fire up the grill out back, as easily as it fires up your soul.

Twenty years down the line, the conscious blood of Hip-Hop’s Golden Era is still flowing through the veins of our culture. At the heart of it all sits Dutch rapper, Kynn; and his latest contribution, “Jacob” (featuring Bryan Shortell), is keeping it beating stronger than ever. The Leiden, Netherlands resident utterly snaps on this record. Buoyed atop the silky guitars, and hard-hitting, rock ballad drums of his instrumental, Kynn dives into a poignant story of Jacob: a kid going through the cruel, torturous tribulation of bullying in high school. With bars galore, and a soul-touching inflection to match, the European emcee uses his three and a half minutes of runtime to spearhead a sonic campaign against the epidemic. Obviously, it is pathed to succeed; because, not only will a massive amount of awareness be summoned by this single, but the single, in and of itself, is musically outstanding. Bryan Shortell, a New York artist, provided the hook, and in a gust of beautifully sung vocals, totally brings “Jacob” home. Certainly, the Golden Era legends would be proud of Kynn. For, alongside making magnificent music, filled with conscious, heart-shaking rhymes, this Netherland talent is actually standing for something. In the climate of Hip-Hop’s today, wherein myriad rappers are on their hands and knees, that trait alone makes Kynn invaluable. #nomorebullyshit
