 Maine SFSG - FREE

Trap storytelling meets creativity, that's how Jacksonville’s very own @MaineSFSG should be described. From the moment you press play on his latest video release, “FREE”, you will be welcomed into the melodic tunes that speak to your consciousness. Gifting us with a new style and outlook on punchlines, classic production and thinking outside the box way before Christmas, we are so spoiled and want more.  Pure greatness and flames is exactly what Maine SFSG possesses and brings to the industry, as he is the next to blow. Intrigued and excited to hear more from this raving superstar, I have to shine a light on the fact that both the song and the video for “FREE” is an instant repeat from the eye opening scenes showing a pet stripper and the blower to the opening line, “Can I ask you now, what you got for me, cause nothing I got is for free”. From the production to the music video this is creativity at its finest.  Teaming up with upcoming video director @whoiswhitemayne, you can feel the connection that these two have with executing the true storyline which meshes so well with the lyrics. These two create pure magic together, excited to see what they have planned next. Before this review is concluded, here’s a special message to all the music lovers and folks who love to watch good entertainment; will not be disappointed, Maine SFSG found its own lane that creates luxurious pleasure for our mind and ears.

Hailing from SoCal where they started their own movement called the #BendKnee. In their newest released video Heem Cufgang Freshmen talk about feeling like the men in their local area. This comes from staying consistent with dope releases, an amazing fan base, and their Cash Up Front motto. In their single Heem they touch on how Appearance, Women, Money, Friendship and Loyalty make you HEEM!

When talking about looks the guys let you how they feel about themselves “I look like seven winning numbers in the lottery”. Touching on how they appear to the outside world “All this gold on my body got me feeling like King Tut”.

Differing from the mainstream glorification of money they touch on why they are privileged in financial affairs “Green on me like a clover, lady luck with me“ and “I’m my own bank”. They also tie friendship and loyalty into it too “The whole team on point, where the flaws at”!

Throughout the song, they speak about how loyalty and having the people's back around you makes you the man and will have your “Pockets fat looking like a Buddha's gut”. And when it comes to the women there is no need to try because they will just See “ even the bottom can see i’m that”, Come “she seen the light, and fell in love with the rhythm”, & Do “She wanna clean the royal-like I’m Hakeem”!

Be sure you stay tuned and check out the guys on social media, the best has yet to come!

Are you a real believer in real street music? Well then Mansfield, Ohio rapper, Meaty, will be your new favorite artist! Today, our culture is filled with album releases that lack substance and just all sound the same. Then, you have students of hiphop’s golden era like Meaty.
Meaty is an Iraq/Afghanistan war veteran and a rising hiphop artist who has recently dropped a monster EP titled "S3v3n” that has something for everybody. Within just the 1st track you will understand why he is the truth! Intro track “Saucy” is a certified trap anthem. "One Shot" is that boombap hiphop song that tells a heartfelt story. “Get It On The Floor” is a hi-powered strip club anthem. “Bang” is a thugged out drill song.

Meaty's appeal is the substance that he provides to a dying game, his creative content, and the contemporary polish of his sharp delivery. It is very apparent that he has added so much value to this 7-track collection by simply giving us the real him... no gimmicks. All of these ingredients and more make "S3v3n” a must listen! -Carl "BFM" Jones
