Nike Jays plans on “TaKiNg OvEr” with his first offering of 2019. Autotune-driven, and completely his own, “TaKiNg OvEr” is a fleeting crusade into contemporary trap territory. It clocks in a bit over two minutes; fulfilled by a trampoline of 808s, zipping hihats, and a simplistic sparkle of synthesized keys. The upcoming Chicago rapper’s use of melody is what steals the show here, as he can be heard colorfully cruising through a burst of bars. Truly absorb his lyrics, and you can trace the tale of a young, rising artist paving his own path to the top. Albeit, Nike Jays is aware he has a long journey ahead of him, “TaKiNg OvEr” is his promise to never succumb. According to his Instagram, he is currently working on an album with Black808Beats titled “Good Mornin”. If that is released alongside “TaKiNg OvEr”? Nike Jays will be even closer to seeing the door to his greatest dream unlock.

World Wide Bus (PKA Torando Ruffin and formally known as Bigbus) has released his latest project “Crucible”. The 8 track album highlights World Wide Bus’ ability to connect with his audience with relatable songs, catchy hooks and head nodding production. Influenced by hip hop artists Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, and Yo Gotti, he aims to create dynamic experiences through his music. He also credits Jay Z’s “Life and Times of S. David Cobo’s story is one of a man fighting for freedom. Freedom from social constructs, freedom from haters and freedom to speak the truth. Born in Angola and raised in Austin, Texas, Cobo is no stranger to change. In his new video for “No One,” Cobo takes us through his artistic evolution, putting his heart on his sleeve in this no-holds-barred new video.

The “No One” music video starts with Cobo in his creative sanctuary, ravaging his journal, obsessively writing and rewriting lyrics by himself. When the second verse drops, he is found following the train tracks, eluding to his journey as an artist. His passion, alone, is enough for him to follow this path blindly, fueled by the desire to stick it to the ones who don’t believe in him. For the final verse, Cobo makes it to the studio, where he spills his heart out to the microphone.

In his own words, Cobo states: “Originality is the main key to success. When you’re yourself you can’t be anything but yourself… Never let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do; stay true to yourself and fight for what you believe in.”

If you didn't know~
Al-Terrick Cromwell aka Big AL is charismatic, spontaneous and direct Hip Hop artist who set out to make music with an honest and eclectic approach. Once he made up his mind about pursuing his music career, Big AL never looked back. Instead, he strives to keep moving forward, developing a unique sound that falls somewhere in between the debt and warmth of old school hip hop and the sharp focus and balance of the best modern productions. (Young THC-younger brother)&(D. Skillz-older cousin) to (Big AL Swagg) are apart of the team bringing more hype and more energy.

Checkout a deep new song by the homie, Jaron Marquis, titled "Trouble". Jaron delivers a cautionary tale and a clear wakeup call to all the rebellious youngsters. His mother tries to steer him the right way, to no-avail. He takes it to the street. Most people in this situation learn the hard way. Outside the home when you dont obey the rules of society and get caught... Momma can't save you then! Jaron Marquis says, "The song 'Trouble' is a refreshing trap sound that is subtle but goes hard at the same time. The chorus reminds me of an old Nate Dogg feel. This song is truly one to play out".

Truth... That is something the streets is full of and something that hiphop has been missing for a very long time. Raw emotion, up close and personal, soulful and original. That's how I would explain Jacksonville, FL hiphop artist, P1, on his new project "What If I Told You The Truth". Standout tracks include "On My Mind", "Already Know", "Truth #1", "Money" and "Trap". With each of these track I feel like P1 shares something special about himself. Its real. You will hear a young rapper with a promising career as he goes through the highs and lows as a trapper looker to a brighter future. He accomplishes his mission of setting himself apart from today rappers by posing the question "What If I Told You The Truth". Download the full project today for the answer to that question!

Also, DJ Swagg does an amazing job of tying the project together as mixtape host. Peep the vivid mini-movie to "Trap" below as you follow P1 into his hood. Also, read more about the homie, P1, and follow his growing movement today!

We just came across a dope new project titled "Shit For The Birds". This 8 track collection is packed with street anthems and club bangerz! DMV's Legend/Queen City's own, HeveWae, came equipped along with Pittsburgh's Finest DJ, Dj BRICKZ to set the game on fire! This EP is packed high enegry raw action flow and top notch production that will have your speakers leaking and ears fiending for more. Twitter and IG: @hevewae

Hevewae (heavy way) is another DMV area, now lived in Charlotte NC, Hip-Hop MC who's music is in the realm of what is known in the region as Crank Muzik - what more as 21st Century Forward Crunk Hip-Hop style of vibe. Hevewae definitely has some energetic, tear the club up street Hip-Hop music going on that can fit in with any of the lastest Southern Hip-Hop joints on blast on the radio and video channels now and hopefully, Hevewae can get signed and/or some solid distribution with someone who's quality to get the music out there to more of the masses.

The future of hip-hop is here! Excitement is building for talented artist, 7even, as he drops visuals to his new age anthem titled, “Luck”. “Luck” is a banger that will have you dancing in your seat! 7even is extra wavy as he lures you into loving his new song by telling a story over a heavy baseline. 7even & Goda express their artistic views on life hustles, and the gift and curse of the life of a Detroit via Atlanta native. “Luck” allows you to participate in a day with 7even & company as he celebrates success!

"Luck" is a warm up track off the EP 'COOKNGLOSS' dropping next year. Until then dive into his latest mixtape below! Instagram @7even___

One thing that’s for sure is that rising hiphop artist, Ace the General, has a way with words!  His new song “Ace GOD - Non Gmo” is a testament to that.  His vibe is extra wavy!  The song has that cool new age conscious trap feel to it.  While listening to “Ace GOD - Non Gmo” you will see through the eyes of a young man who is celebrating the good life over a vicious baseline and hi-hat influenced beat.

Ace the General says, “My feeling about “Ace GOD - Non Gmo” is to hit you with some new inspiration, talking about abundant riches and the path to enlightenment”.  With the help of his creative writing and unique sound Ace displays that he has the power to connect with listeners in a very fun way!

Fresh off the success of his mixtape "I Am Ryan Cole", he is back with an official trap anthem titled "Flex"! The song has been selected as the USA Blog Network's 'Song of the Week'. Beatmaker, Bricks On Da Beat produces the perfect piano and bass influenced track for Ryan Cole to shine on. With its dope lyrical content, Ryan's charismatic delivery, and professional sound, I could easily hear "Flex" in DJ rotation alongside other current hitters like OT Genesis, Savage 21, and Migos.

What really stood out to me is Ryan stayed true to who he is, not what the industry wants to hear. You usually hear alot of drug talk these days, where as he admits not touching the work and not poppin pills. Instead he raps about every young man's dream: having fun, staying fly, and fucking every pretty chic in sight! Ryan says,"FLEX is the new movement! It's more than a song... it's a lifestyle!" Look out for the visuals to the song coming very soon.
